• Data you send through the contact form: name, company, email address, phone number (optional) and the content of your message.
• Data you send by writing to us directly: your email address and whatever the message contains.
• Technical browsing data: IP address, date and time of the request, browser type. These are collected by the systems that run the website and are used to keep it secure and working.

Please do not include special categories of data (for example health information) in your message unless they are necessary for your request.

• To reply to your enquiry and, if you wish, prepare a proposal: steps taken at your request before entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
• To protect the website and the form from abuse and spam, for example by limiting repeated submissions from the same IP address: our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
• To meet legal obligations, for example tax and accounting duties if the enquiry leads to a working relationship: legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).

Your data is not used for newsletters, marketing or profiling, and is never sold or passed on to third parties.

Your data is handled by the controller. To run the website and email we rely on providers acting as data processors (Art. 28 GDPR), who process data only on our instructions:

• Resend, Inc. (United States), which delivers the messages sent through the contact form;
• the website’s hosting provider;
• the email provider on which we receive messages.

Some providers, such as Resend, may process data in the United States. In such cases the transfer relies on appropriate safeguards under Articles 44 et seq. GDPR, such as the Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, where applicable.

• Messages and contact details: for as long as needed to handle your enquiry, and no longer than 24 months after our last exchange, unless it leads to a contract.
• If a contract follows: for its duration and then for the periods required by law (for example 10 years for accounting and tax records).
• Data used to prevent form abuse: held only in temporary memory, for a few minutes.

The website uses no profiling, analytics or third-party cookies, and loads no resources from external services. It sets a single technical cookie, NEXT_LOCALE, which remembers your chosen language (Italian or English) for 12 months. As a technical cookie it does not require consent; you can still delete it in your browser settings.

At any time you can ask to access, correct or delete your data, restrict its processing, object to processing based on legitimate interest, and receive it in a portable format (Articles 15–21 GDPR). Just write to aaron@diafonis.com. We reply within one month.

If you believe the processing breaches the GDPR, you can lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (www.garanteprivacy.it), or with the authority where you live or work.

We make no decisions based solely on automated processing, including profiling. This policy may be updated; the date at the top shows the version in force.
